I'm such a tease

Its been a very long time since I have sent mail art to Jessica. I have been collecting things for her for a long while now such as the incredible rock specimens and tracing/colouring book, which I bought from my local charity shop. I seriously wanted to keep these beauties for myself but that would have been selfish. I also sent her some awesome vintage stamps and various pieces of paper ephemera. I made sure to include one of the stickers that my friend Tim Easley sent me, saying "you rock!", which Jessica totally does. Also in the mix is a very interesting article on historical wildlife in Britain and a photo I found in a house clearance showing a bear.

Now to explain the mysterious Chanel packaging. Jessica bought from me a sequined waistcoat that I was selling on my blog. I thought I would tease her with the packaging being the horror that I am. Well at least the waistcoat was beautifully wrapped. My aunt actually gave me the tissue and ribbon and we both thought I could use it to trick someone into thinking they were getting something from Chanel, haha in their dreams.

Finally the letter I wrote is probably the best one I have written. I used an old book cover and wrote on the inside with my typewriter as I normally do. I then typed in loads of quotes from my favourite films like Lord of the Rings and Fantastic Mr Fox, as well as writing down a few of my favourite things. Though I hadn't realised till I sent the package that I had made a mistake with one of the quotes. It reads "It does not do to dwell on dreams" which I then wrote that Gandalf said from LOTR, but its not him its Dumbledore. I can't believe I got that confused, I feel so stupid. Well I think both Gandalf and Dumbledore say similar things so I'll let myself off. Also you will  have noticed the strip of floral paper that I stuck on the letter, it is a piece of vintage draw liner, which I then typed on 'Scratch and Sniff' as it smells so pretty.
